I care about empowering people to take charge of their health, creating a restorative ‘time-out’ for people to be kind to themselves, and about helping to create happy healthy workplace environments.
As a former acrobat and gymnast I have had my own experiences with injury, in particular a recurring frozen shoulder which was incredibly painful and debilitating. I discovered that by employing massage and reflexology, I was able to accelerate the healing process and reduce the level of pain I experienced. I'd found it frustrating and anxiety-provoking having this condition whilst trying to continue my daily routine, and these therapies also really helped improve my state of mind as I recovered. This experience later inspired me to train to be able to offer these treatments to others.
I gained my Reflexology Diploma in 2009 with the
International Institute of Reflexology in London, which was set up by the nephew of Eunice Ingham, the founder of modern Reflexology. I then qualified as a Chair Massage therapist in 2013, training with
TouchPro UK Seated Acupressure Institute.
I’ve been working in specialist Reflexology and Massage clinics in London for several years, as well as providing office- based treatments in my home town of Brighton and Hove.
To continue my professional development, I regularly attend seminars and advanced training courses in Chair Massage and Reflexology.
Outside of work, I spend my spare time playing the ukulele, travelling around the world (especially Spain as I’m a fluent Spanish speaker!), teaching drama, reading, staying fit, and attending Buddhist meditation retreats.
